Western Power and the other Perth Solar City Consortium members are committed to protecting your privacy as an individual.

Purpose of Collection, Use and Disclosure of Information

Western Power is contracted as the Lead Proponent of Perth Solar City by the Commonwealth Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) under the Solar Cities program.

Western Power in turn has contracted with various product and service providers to form the Perth Solar City Consortium.

As part of the agreement with DEWHA, Western Power and the other Perth Solar City Consortium members are required to collect and submit raw data on the uptake of Perth Solar City products and services to DEWHA to assist in energy efficiency and renewable energy policy development. Your name and address will not be provided to DEWHA. However, Western Power and the other Perth Solar City Consortium members are required to provide other personal information such as demographic information and dwelling details to DEWHA.

DEWHA will comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) when it collects and uses any information collected from you. For more information on how DEWHA will handle your personal information, please go to the DEWHA website (www.environment.gov.au).

In addition to providing your personal information to DEWHA, Western Power may also need to disclose information about you (including personal information) to employees, contractors or agents of the other Perth Solar City Consortium members in order to provide you with the Perth Solar City products and services you have requested. The information you provide will not be used for direct marketing purposes without your prior permission.

We cannot provide you with Perth Solar City products or services without collecting this information.
