2012 Annual Report

22 January 2013

Since its launch in November 2009, the Perth Solar City program has become the most comprehensive energy efficiency initiative in Western Australia, and is managed by Western Power on behalf of the Australian Government.

The Perth Solar City 2012 Annual Report details the final results and transferrable lessons for each of the energy efficiency and renewable energy projects that have been developed and implemented.  Western Power commissioned independent data analysts, Data Analysis Australia, and social researchers TNS to analyse the effectiveness of the Perth Solar City program.

Over 16,000 households participated in the four-year Program, and collectively saved over $1M on their electricity bills last year.

Households individually reduced their electricity use by $25-$1,000 per year by simply doing things differently, joining smart meter enabled trials, and investing in solar technologies.

If you wish to discuss the results further, or to schedule a presentation and question session, please email the Perth Solar City Program Office.
